Going in to the final day of Rally Sweden in joint second position, Andreas Mikkelsen and Anders Jaeger-Amland were fighting hard to keep their spot on the podium. In the end they lost time and had to settle for 4thin the overall classification.
“We did our best today, and I felt we were performing well, but still we were losing time. We have been consistent through the weekend, but are lacking the speed, and that’s what we need to work on!”
The Norwegian pairing got off to a good start, when they finished third fastest on the opening stage in Karlstad on Thursday evening. They continued with a strong performance on Friday and climbed to second on Saturday and ended the day in joint second position with Esapekka Lappi. With only three stages on the final day, and 4 drivers in battle for seconds and podium position, the stage was set for a thrilling battle. Unfortunately Andreas and Anders had to settle for fourth position in the end.
