It’s been a dominant first season with the all-electric cars for Kristoffersson, who won 7 out 9 races this season. With the win in Barcelona he clinched his 5th FIA World Championship crown.
Ole Christian Veiby ends 3rd and secures his fifth podium of the season and important points in the championship.
Ole Christian Veiby:
- Incredible to be a part of this in my first season back in rallycross. And I think I have delivered my bit in achieving this success. Second place in the championship will be hard to catch, but we will for sure have a go at third spot at Nürburgring.
Johan Kristoffersson:
- To be honest, it's incredible. Five times that things must be put in the right place to make it work and it has done so. To secure the title while also crossing the finish line first is something extra. My car was fantastic today and I gave it all I had. There is an incredible amount of work behind this success. The guys in the workshop have been tireless in their effort, working 24-7 to cope with all my ideas. It's also great to win the teams' championship together with Ole Christian. We first started working together in 2013 and I have learnt a lot from him in rally and now we are in my backyard with rallycross.
